PO Box 242 , Harbour Road , Bridgetown , Barbados

    Start Date: November 30, 2017
    End Date: November 30, 2017

First achieved on November 30th of 1966, Independence for Barbados came after a long struggle with the colonial powers. It was the Hon. Errol Barrow who ushered in a new era for Barbados as her first Prime Minister, it is something that is reflected in the national flag today. The blue panels represent the sea and sky while the yellow represents the sand of the island. The trident, however, has somewhat more of a profound meaning in that it is representative of the break from the mother country and the step towards independence. The island hosts several events throughout the month of November.
